The Upholstery and Fabric Cleaning Technician (UFT) certification course covers the art and science of upholstery cleaning to professional service providers and others in related industries. Emphasis is placed on fiber and fabric testing and identification, manufacturing techniques of fibers and fabrics, the chemistry of cleaning, cleaning methods, topical protections, spot removal procedures, and identification of potential problems. Upon achieving the certification, you will know how to perform upholstery cleaning techniques and procedures, including pre-inspection, fabric and fiber identification, selection of cleaning products and equipment, furniture construction, and can identify potential cleaning-related problems on a given piece of upholstery.
